HC2XX Series of reusable humidification chamber can be used with most commonly available respiratory humidifier units in the market and can be used for intubated as well as non-intubated patients.
The chamber has to be filled with water and placed on the humidifier base unit for usage. The heat from the humidifier base unit is transferred by means of Aluminium base of the chamber. The gas from the respiratory care equipment enters the chamber and gets humidified before it is delivered to patient. The effectiveness of the humidification depends on adequate heat transfer from heated humidifier to the chamber and the contact area of the gas with the water surface.
